Yakima Residents Shame Trump: "They're Saying They Don't Want Criminals Here, But There's One in Office."

Thousands gathered at the corner of Valley Mall Boulevard and Main Street in Yakima, WA to protest the Trump administration's impact on their local community. On one street corner, a life-size guillotine construction was on display with an effigy of Donald Trump placed below the blade, and a garbage crown of decapitated kings' heads sat nearby.

People we spoke described the widespread fear in their community. "People are very frightened. Not taking their kids to school, not wanting to come to church," one protestor told us. Another described the impact her uncle's deportation had on her family, who had to take in her younger cousins. "They're seven and eight years old. They're only kids."
