"Punk Rock Is Supposed To Be Political" - It's A Setup

Between raw, unflinching waves of fierce, tightly-wound sound, you'll hear It's A Setup's Hayes Noble deliver impassioned speeches that feel more urgent than ever. He dedicates a song to Luigi Mangione, while addressing "Big Pharma," insurance companies, and capitalism as forces of oppression and greed.

We've seen Noble perform before as his self-titled project, with a decidedly less aggressive, introspective sound. "Because this is our third or fourth project for all the guys in the band, we sort of collectively decided if we're going to do this, we're going to really fucking do it," he told us. It's A Setup is inspired by the qualities of the punk bands Noble grew up watching: provocative, explicitly political, and unwavering about standing up for what they believe in.
